Electrical devices such as pumps, heaters and lights emit electromagnetic radiation which can build up in aquarium water resulting in discharges of stray voltage. The grounding probe will dissipate this energy, thus eliminating these discharges.The Aqua One Grounding Probe will also ground any leaking current resulting from damaged submersed electrical devices.
