The included IR over HDMI dongle has an IR ‘eye’ Sensor/Receiver cable that ‘sees’ the remote control signals and sends them back down the HDMI cable to the Matrix to be ‘blasted’ at the source. The HKM42 has separate digital and analogue audio output connections so the HDMI audio channel can be enjoyed via older sound systems also.
