This amazing Victorian Dragon brooch is a stunner. Purchased from the estate of an Anglo-Welsh aristocrat, the piece was commissioned in France, circa 1890, with the heraldic Dragon of their family as the centerpiece. Blue and red panels of enamel frame the center Dragon, detailed with white floral designs and separated by Diamond accents. The Dragon itself is encrusted with rose cut Diamonds too, giving an amazing amount of sparkle. The brooch is crafted in rich yellow gold, but the Diamonds are set into silver settings, giving it added depth through patina. While it is currently fashioned as a unisex brooch, this piece could easily be converted for use as a lady’s necklace. The perfect jewel to show off your Welsh pride.
